Sneaker marketplace start-up with a ambitions to disrupt the fashion eComm/marketplace industry. Laced connects collectors and buyers of rare sneakers across Europe.

I was brought into Laced to work on a design system that would help Laced navigate a rebrand, with the goal of elevating its digital products.

Working with product leadership and a dedicated engineering team, delivery was a themeable design system in tandem with a full site overhaul.

The system rollout has springboarded new product initiatives, which I am proud to have helped deliver, including; UI patterns to support a European product rollout, Revised editorial/content product experience.

The Laced content hub is an evolution of its blog. Laced wanted to create a framework to allow the publishing of bespoke in-house content with its newly established team of writers and art directors.

The task was to fully revamp the content areas and provide a collection of configurable components that will allow the team to generate rich content. The team provided a wishlist of features that would provide the base of the product MVP. Each section was designed fluid across all breakpoints recognised in the Design System, with modular elements designed to allow easy curation of new pages and content.

The Laced Design System follows best industry practice by combining primitive components with a theme. This is used to feed all product UI from a centralised source.

The design system was used to house and distribute the new branding to the existing UI, as well as all new patterns defined during the product overhauls. The highly flexible system was designed to also allow brand values to be consumed by native products in the future.
